Rebuild

My sister, friend, nephew and I recently built some epic drip castles. 

We were admiring their magnificence when, all of the sudden, a wave came inland and washed them all away! 

At first we were bummed. We loved our little creations and hated to see them go. 

Then, we realized it was not a big deal in the grand scheme of our day. We could rebuild, and even improve our precious castles. 

Sometimes the “waves” of life come and unexpectedly crash the things we hold dear: our relationships, families, jobs, finances, health and best laid plans (to name a few). 

We must grieve the loss of the way we thought things would be. 

Then, when ready, we must get back to creating version 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and beyond. 

Remember: when we lay a solid foundation, and apply the lessons we learn from the crash, we can rebuild something so much better and stronger- time and time again.
