- Embrace The Season You're In

Our boys worked super hard the summer on a lemonade business launch. It was a joy for me and my husband, Justin, to watch them move from idea to execution!
In between mapping out their company values, making store runs and refining their marketing videos, though, questions began to emerge:
Will people show up?
What if it rains?
Our hearts were tender for them because we know anytime you put yourself out there, you are opening yourself up to vulnerability.
Sometimes things work out the way you would like. Other times you gain the gift of a lesson. You just don’t know until you try. And… trying in our family is always a win!
Thanks to their hard work and the love, kindness and support of our neighbors and friends, the launch was a success! It far exceeded their goals!
The boys were thrilled. So were we.
At dinner we discussed our favorite part of the day and everyone agreed: we loved getting to know our neighbors and making new friends. The boys even have new basketball buddies!
As we age, it gets harder to try new things. It’s scary. Unknown. Visible. And feels like there’s a lot more on the line.
What will people say? Will they like my idea? Will they think I’m crazy?
We let fear keep us from the future we desire.
Today I encourage you to push past fear. Do your thing. Succeed. Fail. Learn. Improve. Reposition. Rise. Repeat.
Worst case you learn some valuable lessons and meet some incredible people along the way. You will be so proud of that!
Best case you start something you care about and it work out and you meet some incredible people along the way. You will be so proud of that!
One thing is for sure, as the boys reminded me, you will never know until you try. And trying is ALWAYS a win.
What is one situation where you feel led to try something new?
Be brave! I am cheering for you!
